It happens once in a black moon. There comes along a perfect sequence in time that sends shivers all over my body. Perhaps everybody has a different interpretation and opinion, but what unifies the world beneath the war, terrorism, and social hierarchy is the common interests. More specifically, the common interests of the entertainment industry.
Love is formed, not on the completely bullshit terms of "opposites attract", but what you have in common. It's no difficult feature to imagine. I feel an instant connection with people who feel the same way about films and music. It is the modern way of unity. And I hate to sound like a hippie in these next few lines: perhaps the world needs to be united as one. (proceeds to smoke joint...) Indeed, the human race is divided on everything down to the colour of our shoelaces. Personally I don't prefer those freakish multi-coloured ones because they belong in the goofiest part of the circus, but at the same time I understand where people are coming from. I like to imagine everyone as critics, and that way it makes me feel safe to know I'm not the only critic out there making shrewd remarks on the latest fashion trends. I'm just a guy in the crowd, a keen observer of the inner workings of daily life. And I hope to crack the great mystery of life open... but perhaps that's for another time.
So, in my travels across the world (of the internet) I have made observations to the various entertainment devices that give society hope, confidence, excitement, joy, and tears. Music, film, literature, television... A package of the future that's destined to reign supreme. Look around you, it has already begun. You are viewing this page from the comfort of some bedroom or work space. And I'm here to remind you why... Because we're united.
